volley ball!
japanese style! and it makes absolutely no sense.
today was my first day of volleyball with a group of... well i don't know how they all know each other. but for the most part, it's a bunch of engineers, and teachers, and the owner of a bakery. and these people are hardcore; they've been doing this for at least 15 years.
so let's explain some of the rules heh.
1. there is only one game, it lasts for as long as we're allowed to play.
2. if the service hits the net or hits it out of bounds, it is not a side out. it is returned to the sever who gets to try again. and again. and again. and again.
3. points are apparently awarded on side outs.
4. when a player scores a point, or successfully prevents the other team from scoring, everyone in the team, must take a ten minute break to high five said teammate at least once.
5. if the ball is every thought to be clearly out of bounds, dead, or out of play, it in fact, is not. the only requirement is you need to yell 'CHANCE!'
this is forever a weekly event for me lol.
