a real onsen

ok, i remeber when friend of mine's uncle took me, him, and another friend [names left anon on purpose] to a `spa` in [yeah you know where]... and believe me, it was awkward. but there's something you need to remember though, in japan, as weird as this sounds, nobody thinks anything of it. absolutely nobody.

and they offer you `modesty` towels... which they don't try to take away from you hahahahahahahaha [hahahahahaha].

a good friend of mine in jet, brad, who also plays wow on cenarius, invited me to grab dinner and go try out a real onsen for once. ok yes it's awkward, but i mean, it's a cultural aspect of the country you're in, and as long as you're mature about it and keep admiring the roof/sky there's nothing wrong with it...

you can stop laughing ;P

dinner was really nice. there's this small italian restaurant that's made with slabs of wood and also includes a small bakery. it's a simple menu with average prices for japan and the quality of the food was slightly above par heh. no i am not trying to change the subject. you bastards.

but onsens are rather nice if you ignore that aspect of it. hot springs are nice, they have two saunas too, tatami rooms where you can order food and watch movies, a tv room where you get your own lazyboy recliner and tv, as well as massages from the attractice young japanese girl you might fancy (for 1600 every 20 minutes in addition to the flat 1500 to get into the onsen).

well i didn't get that though... i instead sat in ghetto-massage-chair that was massaging my back (meant for the head/neck) enjoying icecream and strawberry milk... it's not attractive young japanese girl, but hey, it was free :P.

afterwards though on the trainride home, it finally happened.

i fell asleep, and completely missed my stop and was halfway to shizuoka... (about 20 minutes past fuji) ;P

needless to say, i got home around 12:30 am (catching the last train back and adding an hour more of travel time) where though i have work on monday, i proceeded to play wow and rolled a priest finally passing out at 2:30 in the morning [i imagine ryan to be rather proud, gg]...
